Spring Semester

Students, welcome back and happy 2013 to you all! It is time to start a new semester full of change and transition to new opportunities. I hope you all will be committed to staying involved with entrepreneurship and this blog. I strategically updated the blog over break with a few helpful "info graphics", addressing a few key ideas and facts about major topics that can be useful for those entrepreneurial thinkers. Hopefully, you all found those graphics interesting; but now it is time to get back to serious blogging about ideas, people, and events!

1. Remember to attend the Student Network meetings this semester at the Garage on Centennial Campus. The first one is next Thursday (1/17) at 6 pm!  These meetings are a great way to network with various people, and to attend interesting workshops as well as presentations from influential and successful entrepreneurs. The are old postings in the blog that speak about the meetings if you wish to get a better idea of what they have to offer!

2. Our surrounding community in the Triangle is also blossoming with opportunity this spring!

Attention all NC State students interested and curious about entrepreneurship!

We are pleased to announce that the Triangle Startup Factory and NC State University will host the inaugural "Triangle.edu" event at the Convocation Center at NC State's College of Textiles on Centennial Campus on January 16th from 6pm to 8pm.  This event is the first in a semi-annual series intended to ensure that Triangle university students interested in tech start-ups and entrepreneurship are aware of the opportunities presented by the existing tech ecosystem.  The event will feature speakers from the Triangle entrepreneurial community in disciplines such as executive management, technical development, marketing and sales.  Refreshments and appetizers will be served.

Students from all universities are invited to attend. Buses will be transporting Duke University and UNC students, as well.

Attendance is free, but please register: http://triangleedu.eventbrite.com/#
